Kendra Hunding, 4th & 5th Grade

My name is Kendra Hunding and I have the pleasure of teaching the Otter Class of 4th and 5th graders. I have been with Natural Science Academy from its opening in 2008. I am a licensed teacher and have a Master's degree in Natural Science/Environmental Education from Hamline University.

I came to NSA from the Science Museum of Minnesota where I worked teaching classes for school groups, writing curriculum and training teachers. I live in the capital city of St. Paul with my husband, Rich, our dog, Buckley and 2 chinchillas named and Monty and Chuchie (although Chuchie spends most of his time hanging out in our classroom in St. Paul Park). I am also mother to a daughter, who is a recent biology graduate and a son studying art and design in Chicago. I am passionate about being part of this very special school that offers unique and invaluable opportunities to students, teachers and parents.
