Rachel Blank, Special Education
Greetings! I have recently retired from Intermediate School District
#287 after 32 years as a Special Education Teacher. My teaching
licensure includes - Elementary Teacher (Grades 1 to 6), Teacher of the
Blind/Visually Impaired (Birth to age 21) and Teacher of the Learning
Disabled-SLD (Kindergarten to Grade 12). My skills have been honed
thru extensive experience working with a wide variety of teachers,
students and their families. I bring the maturity and expertise to
negotiate positive outcomes in both unique and challenging situations.
In mentoring new teachers, I am able to share many examples on how
to combine different perspectives and look at the whole child. At the
same time I remain open to new ideas and committed to researching
different methods to meet the individual needs of all students. I bring
energy and enthusiasm to my work as a teacher and have the flexibility
to successfully adapt, ensuring a smooth transition to another school
district and new assignment. I look forward to working with your
children and am excited to be a part of the NSA Staff.
